It is a great privilege to provide you with the vision and tools and be part of your journey in improving your physical fitness that will strengthen and heal your body. My personal passion for fitness and well being began well over thirty years ago when my uncle, who was also a fitness instructor, introduced me to the press-up. I was hooked and I still use the press-up to this day as part of my own workouts. During the 1980s I competed in Judo to a high level and I was a member of several elite Judo clubs, including York R.I. and Bradford Centre of Excellence.

I represented my county at U18 and U21 level and I was a Judo coach at Ashville College Sports Centre in Harrogate. In 1988 I trained with the Great Britain Judo squad in the run up to the Olympic Games in South Korea. Today at the age of 45, I am fitter and stronger than I was over 20 years ago. I am showing no signs of slowing and I have unstoppable energy.

I have been personally trained and certified by some of the top cutting edge fitness professionals in the World, including World kettlebell expert and Navy Seals Fitness Consultant Steve Cotter and Jon Hinds, NBA Strength Coach, owner of LifelineUSA, Pan American Jujitsu Gold Medallist and founder of the Monkey Bar Gymnasium in Madison, Wisconsin. The reason why I chose to take a course abroad rather than a UK only qualification is that I wanted to escape the blueprint of traditional fitness programming and be able to guide clients to much higher levels of health and vitality. Jon Hinds’s reputation is second to none as one of the World’s leading authorities in functional training and high nutrient eating. My NASM qualification is also recognised internationally.

I firmly believe that training should be fun, rewarding, full of variety and something to look forward to. However, my experience of the ‘commercial gym’ is far removed from this. These gyms involve boring and monotonous workouts, especially the cardio machines, which equate to a mouse running around a wheel in a cage. Equipment with fancy names and row after row of people all doing the same exercise, not talking to each other, listening to Ipods or watching a screen, zoned out, not listening to their body. The lighting, the incessant repetitive music, the fact that most people jump on machines thinking that they will get results by just attending. You can’t really believe that the treadmills, the machines and the limited weight training opportunities at commercial gyms are actually FUN, can you? And what have they truly done for you? They are boring and boredom and focus cannot co-exist in the same space.  The social environment that these gyms create are not conducive to fitness – People tend to waste valuable time, wandering around looking at people, trying to impress people, or trying to talk to people, instead of focusing on working out.

Why not try something different, have fun and learn more about yourself in the process?

Time for some ability, transcendence and empowerment

People who seek ability, transcendence and empowerment train differently, but these techniques are not reserved for some secret society of athletes. This sort of exercise is suitable for everyone and if you train this way it’s a done deal that you will be burning fat while also building lean, functional muscle. What I’ll train you in may go against everything you’ve learned about fat burning and fitness. But, if you’re willing to open your mind and be challenged to think outside the box, it might just be the most important thing you’ve ever done. I will teach you the basics first before progressing and challenging you further for a complete, fun and exciting program in fitness, health, strength, skill, conditioning and nutrition. You will be trained to workout smarter, cutting down on your exercise time whilst achieving fantastic results.

I offer a complete package that is much healthier and more effective than traditional fitness methods and you will be motivated to give you the vision and the tools for unstoppable personal energy and optimum fitness performance.

You will spend less time exercising, the exercises will be far more effective and you end up with superior results…

When do you want to get started?
